If you want more from your money...

Our Guaranteed Equity Bonds (GEBs) are Fixed Term investments which put stock market linked growth potential well within your reach and can be opened for as little as £1,000. The maximum that can be invested is £500,000.

When you invest in a GEB we do not directly invest your funds into the companies within the stock market Indices. Instead, your investment amount is held in a deposit account with Bank of Ireland, and we link any interest you receive at the end of the investment term to the performance of these stock market Indices.

But still want security...

Your original deposit is secure and you may also benefit from the security of a minimum guaranteed return. However the movement of the Indices will fluctuate and any additional return is not guaranteed. You may therefore receive your capital investment (less any withdrawals you may make and associated fees), and a guaranteed minimum return, the value of which could be eroded by the effects of inflation.

A GEB is a medium term investment. However, we do understand that, in exceptional circumstances, you may need to withdraw some of your money during the fixed term. All withdrawals will be subject to a Withdrawal Fee, which could be substantial. The Fee cannot be predicted in advance as it is calculated at the time you request a withdrawal and takes into account the amount withdrawn and the amount of time remaining in the GEB Fixed Term. The Withdrawal Fee is also linked to Bank Base Rate and is subject to change, so we cannot predict what it will be during the GEB Fixed Term. If you make a withdrawal from your GEB account it could mean getting back less than you initially invested.

Our Guaranteed Equity Bonds change at each issue and are available for a limited period only.

Please Note: By investing in a Guaranteed Equity Bond you do not benefit from the reinvestment opportunity or additional income provided by the dividends produced by the shares of the companies which form the Indices.
